Julia is a native of Livingston County, Michigan, where she and her husband have raised their two young adult children.
Julia's leadership coaching training comes from the Thinking Collaborative initiative brought to Michigan schools under the FAME project. After 14 years of classroom teaching, she started Instructional Coaching Services of Michigan, focusing on consulting educators in curriculum adoption. She has spent time in higher education supporting faculty in their teaching practices, and then all employees as the Director of Employee Development. Over the last ten years, Julia has partnered with dozens of educational institutions, supporting faculty, staff, executive, and HR leaders to enhance employee engagement, succession planning, and positive culture-building initiatives, including well-being programs.
Today, as Principal Executive Coach of Keider Consulting Group, Julia works with educational leaders and administrators focusing on HR-related territories, such as brand recognition, hiring, onboarding, leadership development, employee relations, team retention, exits, and coaching mindsets for personal and professional efficacy.
Julia is a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and received the Certification for Professionals with the Association for Talent Development (CPTD). She is also an Authorized Partner with the Wiley Brand - Everything DiSC resources.
Julia Keider, owner, lead instructional coach and presenter, has been a “highly-effective” educator and presenter since 2000. Julia utilizes many of her masterful teaching methods in her presentations with adult learners.
Julia has been actively involved in school improvement initiatives across the state of Michigan, from curriculum adoption to coaching training. Julia's professional coaching experience and training is from the Center for Cognitive Coaching and the Center for Adaptive Schools sponsored directly by the Michigan Department of Education's Formative Assessment Process. Julia became "proficient" under Michigan State University's program for MiExcel Priority Schools, Coaching 101, in 2013, and in 2015 completed the Michigan Virtual University Coaching Modules in Reading and Writing.
Julia currently works at Baker College Online & Center for Graduate Studies, opening lines of communication and collaboration with faculty and university stakeholders to ensure quality teaching and learning experiences within human performance potential. She is responsible for faculty evaluations, professional learning opportunities, and coaching faculty to reach their performance potential.
Julia developed a passion for coaching adults during her training as a leader in professional development. She sees great value that coaching has on all types of learners. As a teacher who once worked in isolation, she vows to help teachers in the belief that working collaboratively is more efficient and more rewarding than working alone. She believes in the growth of all types of learners and is excited about the professional opportunities to work with others to foster their own growth.
